A Large Little Fishfinder.
DualBeam Plus
Get the ideal of each worlds, with selectable slim and extensive beams you can view individually, or melded into one particular show. A precision 20° beam provides high accuracy returns of fish, composition, and bottom profile. The wider 60° beam offers larger coverage for fish and bait fish. You can see the two beams separately, facet by side, or blended together for the most full photo.
Switchfire Sonar
When you strike the h2o, you don’t limit your self to one particular bait. So why limit your sonar? Unique Humminbird SwitchFire Sonar provides you the electricity to decide on how returns are shown. With two unique modes, you have full management to modify with the fishing problems, creating our down-seeking sonar an even far more valuable fishfinding device.
Split Display screen Zoom
Split Display screen Zoom boosts the exhibited resolution to separate sonar returns that are very shut with each other. In this view, the screen is split to demonstrate a slim slice of the entire array look at on the right and the zoomed look at on the left. The zoom preview box on the correct tracks the bottom in the total assortment look at.
Immediate Image Update
As the boat moves by means of the drinking water, the sonar chart updates in genuine time to present the most recent data on the sonar screen. A real time sonar (RTS) window shown on the right facet of the display usually updates at the quickest rate achievable for depth situations.
Freeze Frame/Framework Marking
Pressing any arrow on the 4-way cursor handle instantaneously stops the sonar graphic show to allow a closer inspection of submerged framework, bait fish, and underwater contours. Movable cursor attribute enables you to quickly discern depth of any sonar return and mark waypoints from the sonar display for navigation. Pressing the EXIT important will exit the freeze frame and the screen will start off to resume scrolling. Mark the location of fish-attracting framework, bottom transitions, or any attribute anyplace on conventional sonar with the Sonar Cursor.
Selective Fish ID+
Fish ID+ makes use of state-of-the-art sonar processing to interpret sonar returns, and displays a Fish Image when very selective specifications are achieved. When a fish is detected, a fish icon and its depth are shown above the return that has been categorized as getting a fish. 3 diverse fish icons stand for intensity of the sonar return, and supply an indicator of relative fish measurement.
Real Time Sonar (RTS) Window
A Real Time Sonar (RTS) Window seems on the proper side of the show in the Sonar Watch only. The RTS Window constantly updates at the quickest rate feasible and exhibits only the returns from the bottom, framework, and fish that are within the transducer beam. The RTS window can be shown as slim (normal), broad, or off.
TreuArch Technological innovation
A lot of competitive sonar products typically use post processing software to “boost” the arching result created when suspended targets enter and depart a sonar beam. This additional processing can slow down performance and exaggerate the details shown. Humminbirds TrueArch Engineering utilizes parallel processing of sonar information to remove unwanted interference and sound and expose unaltered sonar echoes resulting in correct arches of fish targets. This assists anglers much more rapidly discern the dimensions and depth of fish targets.
Created-In U.S. UniMap
The included UniMap addresses the continental U.S. coastline, inland lakes, and rivers at 30 meters per pixel resolution. UniMap gives you an precise chart nearly everywhere you travel in the United States.

Great Value,
The Hummingbird 385CI Combo is a great value for the money. It replaced my sonar only unit and the GPS features were most welcome. It performs well and is relatively easy to use. Instructions for installation could stand some clarification. And, GPS map upgrades are too expensive as currently offered.

|345c is a winner!,
My old FF had some problems, its fixed now. But in the spur of the FF-less moment, I pulled the trigger on a Humminbird 345C.
I wasn’t expecting much. I just wanted a replacement. How different can they be given the the 300 series is lower in the hierarchy vs my older 500 series 565.
I was pleasantly surprised. The 345C thing is way more capable that my older ‘bird.
First, it has more wattage. The 565 had 250 watts, the 345C arrived with 300.
The 345C has less resolution 340×240 vs 640 x 320 for the 565. However, I am definite that I am seeing more detail on the screen. This is probably attributable to the fact that the 565 only has Dual beam, while the 345C has Dual Beam Plus (DBP). DBP which allows use of individual frequencies. 200khz shows mucho detail compared to running 200 and 83 khz at the same time.
Also, ‘bird put in a new technology called Switchfire for 2010. It supposed to enhance the amount of stuff on the screen. It seems ‘bird took out the filtering that I felt I was getting with my old 565. I can say that its much more sensitive than their old technology. You can still switch from old to new by selecting “clear” vs. “max” which is Switchfire ON
Comparitively, my old 565 always ran on full sensitivity to get it to show good detail. The 345c shows more than enough detail at 11, or one click over 50% power. At that level, I am getting really nice fish arch images on the screen.
I never really thought that color was a feature that I wanted to pay for. But the color screen on the 345C helps a lot. This is especially noticeable when you select the blue background option. In black and white, weak signals where a light grey over lcd grey. In the blue color option, the weak signals are a light green while the background is a dark blue. The bait really stands out this way
It also helps that the blue background option makes it look like a Lowrance HDS unit
.
I have to say, I can’t be happier. I feel like I got back the sensitivity that I always thought I had using Garmin
Additonal features include Freeze Frame, Split Screen between 200 and 83 khz and a quick view button to jog thru various view options.
I just hope it doesn’t fog up like my old ‘bird FF.
The 345C is a winner!
